Tidal Wave (Samishii Nettaigyo) (淋しい熱帯魚, Lonely Tropical Fish) is a cover album by the Irish pop group The Nolans. Released on 21 September 1991 exclusively in Japan by Teichiku Records , the album consists of 12 English-language covers of popular J-pop songs from the 1970s and 1980s.
The 12" version of the single was extended by one minute and 50 seconds and called "Silver (Tidal Wave)" and the B-side is the 7" version and "Angels and Devils". Tidal Wave 7" is the debut release by The Apples (later known as The Apples in Stereo). The EP , released in 1993, was the first official release under the Elephant 6 Recording Co. label. The EP's six tracks were later re-released on 1996 compilation album Science Faire , after the release of the band's debut full-length LP Fun Trick Noisemaker .
