Vilgax nearly defeats Ben, but Gwen and Kevin arrive with Way Big, whom Ben absorbs back into the Omnitrix. However, Ben accidentally turns into Chromastone instead, and is destroyed by Vilgax. However, the Omnitrix absorbs Chromastone's shattered pieces back into itself, transforming Ben into Diamondhead.

The first animated film titled Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix is considered as a three-part episode in its fourth season. During a fight with Dr. Animo, Ben's Omnitrix accidentally sets off its self-destruct mode and Ben has to find the Omnitrix's creator to shut it down and stop the evil Vilgax.
Vilgax overpowers them both and obtains the Ben's Omni-Kix Key, becoming a cosmic entity named Alien V and killing Ben's Galvanic Mechamorph clone Glitch. Ben starts to lose faith again until Azmuth, who manages to got out from Null Void calls him using the Omnitrix and reminds Ben of what he learned during his trial in the Null Void.
