Fall Creek is a navigable in law waterway in the U.S. state of Indiana, and a tributary of the White River.It is 57.5 miles (92.5 km) long [1] and has a watershed drainage area of 318 square miles (820 km 2) in central Indiana before flowing into the White River in Indianapolis. [2]
It was constructed in 1943 by damming Fall Creek to provide water for Indianapolis. Upon completion, Geist Reservoir was the second-largest man-made lake in Indiana, providing approximately 6,900,000,000 US gallons (2.6 × 10 10 L; 5.7 × 10 9 imp gal) of water.
The greenway terminates at Burdsal Parkway and the Indiana Central Canal in Indianapolis's Riverside neighborhood.
