The National Audit Office (Sinhala: ජාතික විගණන කාර්යාලය jātika vigaṇana kāryālaya) is a non-ministerial government department in Sri Lanka. Established in 1799, it is one of the oldest government departments in the country, and is responsible for auditing public organisations.
These five members were officials who held the posts of the Colonial Secretary, the Attorney General, the Auditor-General, the Treasurer and the General Officer Commanding, Ceylon. The Council exercised executive power and advised the governor. As a result of the First Manning Reforms three non-officials were elected to the executive council.

The Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board (SLAASMB) is the audit oversight entity, while the Auditor General of Sri Lanka has audit oversight over government all entities. [1]
Joining the Auditor-General's Department, he was appointed Auditor General on 13 August 2000, succeeding S. M. Sabry, and held the office until his retirement from public service on 23 October 2006. He was succeeded by P. A. Pematilaka. [4] He was listed by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna as a national list candidate at the 2015 general election. [5]
H. M. Gamini Wijesinghe was the 40th Auditor General of Sri Lanka.He was appointed on 27 November 2015, succeeding H. A. S. Samaraweera and served until April 2019. [1] He previously held the office of Director General of the Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standers Monitoring Board.
W. Gamini Epa was the 34th Auditor General of Sri Lanka. He was appointed on 2 May 1983, succeeding P. M. W. Wijayasuriya, and held the office until 26 January 1993. He was succeeded by S. M. Sabry. [1]
