The Street Food Piazza is the biggest outdoor street food piazza in Wales, with numerous bars and stalls along the water’s edge at Cardiff Bay. The festival takes place over the May Bank Holiday (Sunday 29 and Monday 30 May) and attracts up to 15,000 people. There is an entry fee. The festival has a wide variety of stalls, live demonstrations and attractions that are held each day. The food stalls are located at the Arthur John carpark.
The festival was established in order to raise awareness of the fishing industry in Cardigan Bay, which has a rich sustainable source of fish and shellfish. The festival was started by Aberystwyth Sea Anglers, Cardigan Bay Fisherman’s Association, Communities First and Food Centre Wales. The festival connects with Ceredigion’s maritime history.
