Independence of the Seas is a Freedom-class cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International. The 15-deck ship was built in the Aker Finnyards Turku Shipyard , Finland. At 154,407 GT, [ 4 ] she joined Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas as the largest cruise ships and passenger vessels when built.
A group of boaters and programmers decided to extend the coverage of OpenStreetMap to the seas and fresh water bodies. From the start the project has been worldwide and multilingual. By the end of 2009, the design and architecture of the project had been created, and a sample harbor " Warnemünde " was created to serve as an example chart.

Shouldn't this article, as well as Independence of the Seas be renamed "MS Liberty of the Seas", because MS Freedom of the Seas is. It is the official name. -- 99.243.212.228 14:06, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
In 1991, Royal Caribbean International launched a slightly modified sister ship, Monarch of the Seas. In 1992, the line launched its third and final sister ship, Majesty of the Seas.
