Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park is a Kentucky state park located on the Frogue Peninsula on the northern shore of Dale Hollow Reservoir in Clinton and Cumberland counties. [2] The park comprises 3,400 acres (1,400 ha).
The lake is formed by the damming of the Obey River, 7.3 miles (11.7 km) above its juncture with the Cumberland River at river mile 380. Portions of the lake also cover the Wolf River. Dale Hollow is one of four major flood control reservoirs for the Cumberland; the others being Percy Priest Lake, Lake Cumberland, and Center Hill Lake. [2]

Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park is a park located near Mount Olivet, Kentucky in Robertson and Nicholas counties. The park encompasses 148 acres (60 ha) and features a monument commemorating the August 19, 1782 Battle of Blue Licks. [2]

Referred to locally as Burnside Island, the state park offers camping, golf, and lake access via boat ramp on the south end of the island. The golf course was voted first place as the Commonwealth Journal Readers Choice Award for "Best Places to Play Golf" in 2009. [3] The following year, it placed second. [4]
