While the original Tiger Muay Thai in Chalong, Phuket remains the headquarters, they opened a new facility to San Sai District, Chiang Mai in 2013. [14] In 2019, they opened Tiger Muay Thai Beachside in Chalong. [15] In 2023, Tiger Muay Thai is set to open a new location in Bali, Indonesia. [16]

Other co-founding members of the gym are BJJ coach Alex Schild and strength and conditioning coach Andrew Wood who were also coaches at Tiger Muay Thai. The American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) is a mixed martial arts gym based in San Jose, California. It is one of the pioneering schools of mixed martial arts (MMA). In 2014, AKA opened the AKA Thailand gym in Phuket, Thailand. Prominent trainers include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master Leandro Vieira, Bob Cook, Derek Yuen, Javier Mendez, and Andy Fong.
Nontachai started Muay Thai training at the age of 9 and immediately competed to provide financial help to his family. He joined the Sit O camp in the city of Buriram a few years later. [3] After his retirement Nontachai became a trainer at the Sit-O camp he then joined Tiger Muay Thai where he coached and competed on the Phuket scene. [4]
It opened as a Muay Thai academy in 1978 in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. Head trainer Rudimar Fedrigo later expanded the program in 1991 to include other aspects of modern mixed martial arts, such as wrestling and submission grappling. By 1995, the Chute Boxe team was considered a prime training ground for Vale Tudo fighters. [1]
