The Wyandotte Caves is a pair of limestone caves located on the Ohio River in Harrison–Crawford State Forest in Crawford County, Indiana, 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Leavenworth and 12 miles (19 km) from Corydon. Wyandotte Caves were designated a National Natural Landmark in 1972, and they are now part of O'Bannon Woods State Park. [1]

The Olentangy Indian Caverns are a series of caves, natural passages and rooms occupying three different levels. The caverns were formed millions of years ago by an underground river that cut through the limestone rock. They were used by the Wyandotte Indians as a refuge from the weather and from their enemies the Delaware Indians.

Wyandotte (/ ˈ w aɪ ə n d ɒ t / WY-ən-dot) is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 25,058 at the 2020 census. [2] Wyandotte is located in southeastern Michigan, approximately 11 miles (18 km) south of Detroit on the Detroit River, and it is part of the collection of communities known as Downriver.
