The 2024–25 La Liga 2, also known as LALIGA HYPERMOTION [1] [2] due to sponsorship reasons, is the 94th season of the Segunda División since its establishment in Spain. It commenced on 15 August 2024 and is scheduled to end in June 2025.
Teams promoted to La Liga. The first two teams to earn promotion from Segunda División were Granada and Las Palmas, who secured first and second positions, respectively, on the very last match day of the season. Granada returned to La Liga after a one-year absence, while Las Palmas came back after a five-year absence.
Each year three teams are promoted to La Liga. The top two teams earn an automatic promotion. The third team to be promoted is the winner of a play-off between the teams that finished 3rd to 6th (reserve teams are not eligible for promotion). The play-offs comprise two-legged semi-finals followed by a two-legged final.
