From 1956 to 1978, the United States Auto Club (USAC) sanctioned Championship Car class featured the top teams and drivers in U.S. open-wheel racing. Until 1971, races included road courses, ovals, dirt courses, and, on occasion, a hill climb. Thereafter, the schedule consisted mainly of paved ovals.
The Centro de Estudios Conservacionistas (CECON; Center for Conservation Studies) is a scientific research institute of the San Carlos University of Guatemala (USAC). [1] [2] The center was created in August 1981, and since February 1982 has been administratively attached to USAC's faculty of chemistry and pharmacy.

In 1991, Gordon captured the USAC Silver Crown, and at the age of 20 became the youngest driver to win the season championship. [23] He also won the 4 Crown Nationals midget car race that season. [23] In his midget car career between 1989 and 1992, he finished in the Top 3 in 22 of 40 USAC midget car events. [23]
