Ottawa is a city in and the county seat of LaSalle County, Illinois, United States.It is located at the confluence of the navigable Fox River and Illinois River, the latter being a conduit for river barges and connects Lake Michigan at Chicago, to the Mississippi River, and North America's 25,000 mile river system.
The public library was established in the Reddick Mansion in 1888 and served the city of Ottawa in that capacity until 1974. [15] That year the library moved to new facilities and the Reddick Mansion Association was formed with the aims of restoring and maintaining the house. The Reddick Mansion is currently open to the public for tours. [16]

The Main Street Branch Library held a collection of between 40,000 and 50,000 books and served as the main public library for the community from 1951 up until 1975. [2] The architectural firm of McLellan, MacDonald and Marcwith designed the Main Street Branch as part of the mid-20th Century Civic Center. [4]

Ben Franklin Place is a building complex in the Centrepointe area of Ottawa which houses the Centrepointe Branch of the Ottawa Public Library, the Centrepointe Theatre, and a satellite office for the City of Ottawa. It also includes an outdoor skating rink.
The school comprises three buildings, each with three stories. The main building is the first building seen upon approaching the school. It contains floors 100, 200, and 300 as well as the main offices and the library. Its classes are mostly vocational in nature but also has some English and Math.
