Scared Shrekless is a 2010 American animated Halloween horror comedy television special based on the Shrek franchise. The special premiered on the American television network NBC on October 28, 2010. [1] The special marks the first time outside of the video games that Donkey is now voiced by Dean Edwards since Eddie Murphy declined to return.
Dean Edwards (born July 30, 1970) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and singer. [1] His work as a voice actor includes Scottie Pippen and Spike Lee in Celebrity Deathmatch, a robot in Robotomy, and Donkey in Scared Shrekless after Eddie Murphy was unable to reprise the role (Edwards had impersonated Murphy on stage), along with a couple of other projects.
Scared Shrekless is a 21-minute Halloween-themed television special set after the events of Shrek Forever After. Shrek challenges Donkey, Puss in Boots, and his other fairy tale friends to spend the night in Lord Farquaad's haunted castle, telling scary stories to see who can resist becoming scared and stay the longest.
