Compton Unified School District is a school district headquartered in Compton, California, United States. The district serves almost all of Compton, all of East Rancho Dominguez , most of Willowbrook CDP , portions of Carson , Lynwood , West Rancho Dominguez CDP , and a small sliver of Paramount .

Compton High School's original building in 1912. The school opened in 1896 as Compton Union High School and was later re-established as Compton Senior High School in the 1950s after Compton College separated from the high school district and opened its new campus at 1111 East Artesia Boulevard in 1953.

Compton College is a public community college in Compton, California. From 2006, when it lost its regional accreditation, to 2017, when it regained that accreditation, it operated as a part of El Camino College.
