The Kopassus (Indonesian: Komando Pasukan Khusus, Special Forces Command) is an Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) special forces group that conducts special operations missions for the Indonesian government, such as direct action, unconventional warfare, sabotage, counter-insurgency, counter-terrorism, intelligence gathering and special reconnaissance (SR).
Widi Prasetijono (born 4 June 1971) is an Indonesian military officer who is currently a lecturer at the Indonesian Defense University. Prior to his appointment, Widi served as the commander of the Diponegoro (Central Java) Regional Military Command from 2022 to 2023 and the commander of the army doctrine, education, and training leadership command from 2023 to 2024.
