The Mercer County Fairgrounds, located on 12th Avenue SW in Aledo, are the home of the annual county fair in Mercer County, Illinois. The fairgrounds were established in 1869 when the fair moved to Aledo; from its creation in 1853 until then, it had taken place in Millersburg .

DuQuoin State Fairgrounds Racetrack is a one-mile (1.6-km) clay oval motor racetrack in Du Quoin, Illinois, about 90 miles (140 km) southeast of St Louis, Missouri. It is a stop on the ARCA Menards Series , USAC Silver Crown Series and American Flat Track .
The Illinois State Fair mile currently hosts the Allen Crowe Memorial 100 ARCA stock car race, USAC Silver Crown dirt cars, UMP Late Models and Modifieds and the A.M.A. Grand National Championship.
