In Defence is a four-part British television legal drama series, created and partially written by Mike Cullen, that first broadcast on ITV on 26 June 2000. [1] The series stars Ross Kemp and Sophie Okonedo, and follows Sam Lucas (Kemp), a lawyer and legal detective, who takes it upon himself to investigate cases where the police have failed to uncover enough evidence to secure a conviction.

On March 21, 2024, the series was renewed for a 24th season. [5] Near the end of the 2023–2024 broadcast TV season, it was announced that showrunner/executive producer Rick Eid would be departing the FBI flagship series to focus solely on running Law & Order and creating new projects.

New Tricks is a British police procedural comedy-drama that follows the fictional Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad (UCOS) of the Metropolitan Police Service. [1] The show was created by Roy Mitchell and Nigel McCrery, [2] and premiered in 2003 with a 90-minute special, which later resulted in show's first full series airing. [3]
