This is a list of nursing schools in the continent of Europe, sorted by country. A nursing school is a school that teaches people how to be nurses (medical professionals who care for individuals, families, or communities in order to reach or maintain health and quality of life).
In 2016, there were 51 fee-charging private second level schools in Ireland, which as of the academic year 2014/15, had 24,112 students enrolled. [ 1 ] Annual day fees are typically between €4,000 to €7,000; however the cost of boarding can increase these fees significantly, up to more than €15,000 for the school year.
In 1896, the Paris Faculty of Medicine was merged with the four other Paris faculties to form the new University of Paris. In 1900, the faculty's ‘practical school’ was built by the French architect Léon Ginain on the site of the former Cordeliers convent buildings, which had been demolished in 1880, at 15, rue de l'École-de-Médecine.
