The Conrad Prebys Music Center (CPMC) is a music center on the campus of the University of California, San Diego.It houses the university's music department, and is anchored by the 400-seat Concert Hall, in addition to the 170-seat Recital Hall and an Experimental Theatre with a variable digital acoustics system.
Ché Café was founded in 1980 by several UCSD students, including Scott Kessler, Ruth Rominger, Kim Higgs, and Joy Every. The name is primarily a nod to the late Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara, but was registered as a backronym for "Cheap Healthy Eats" with the university administration in an attempt to avoid political scrutiny.
The first Sun God Festival coincided with the one-year anniversary of Sun God ' s arrival in 1984. [2] [3] The festival's original location was adjacent to the statue, but it has since grown and moved numerous times, from Price Center to the now-demolished Mile High Field, eventually finding a more permanent home at its current location on RIMAC field.
