May 2007 edited March 2014 in Toyota Right away my RAV4 had a LOT of wind noise from the front passenger window, it sounded as if the window were not up all of the way. The dealer had heard of this with two other RAV4's and said that replacing the side mirror fixed the problem.
To everyone who is reading this thread and have an 06 - 07 RAV4 with the Cruse Control Problem. Call the Toyota Customer Experience Center at 800-331-4331 and get a case number like Charles,Pam and I have. Tell them there are others with the same problem and reference our case numbers. The corporate guys get these comments/complaints...
The radio/Infotainment system in our 2014 Toyota RAV4 suddenly and without warning died. No radio, no navigation system, no phone and voice command, the only thing that works is the backup camera. The dealer says it is an internal failure and is out of warranty and will cost approximately $1100 to replace. Toyota Customer Care said the same thing.

Have 2006 rav4, 4cyl, 4wd, 118k miles: it has a real loud rattle/drone/noise sounds like from around the transmission area. It is way more than a whine. Toyota place and non toyota said they think it is the transmission for which is $2000 to $5000. There is a TSB on the 6cyl's that replaces the ECM for a drone noise.
Toyota made a change to the 4 cylinder equipped RAV4 models in 2009. The new 2.5 engine does not appear to have the oil consumption problems mentioned by those having earlier models. My RAV4 (2009) just clicked over 30,000 miles and I just did the 5th oil change.
I have 2010 RAV4, Made in Japan. Having the problem with excessive engine noise from day1. went to arbitration, Toyota does not want to agree and they say it is Normal as designed, I have compared with Made in Canada, with no problem. Stuck due to lease. Suggestion: DO NOT BUY RAV4 made in Japan (can be identified with the VIN) :lemon: :mad:

November 2013 edited May 2014 in Toyota I'm looking at recent model Rav4's, anywhere in the range of 2008-2013. One of the things I like about Rav4 is the hidden compartment in the trunk where the spare goes on other models since I live in the city and people sometimes break into cars if they see anything exposed.
