Local hardware stores don’t seem to have many Kohler replacement stems in stock at the moment, so I’m trying to gather as much information before resorting to shutting off the supply to take the stems out and measure them. I’m seeing similar vintage Kohler faucets online, but none with the smooth face on the handles.
After a recent bathroom remodel, our new Kohler Shower Faucet seems to have cold / hot reversed. When turning faucet on, the water is immediately hot, then gets cold once you turn further clockwise. Not a big deal, but we are selling the house and the buyers wanted that fixed. I thought I could flip the cartridge / mixer valve 180 degrees to ...
Just a newbie homeowner here who recently did a kitchen & bath remodel. I went with Kohler sinks and faucets, and a Toto Toilet. For the bathroom I chose the Kohler Purist cross handle line (in brushed chrome from a high end kitchen/ bath store), and for the kitchen I got the Kohler Corolais (also brushed chrome, from Home Depot).
They have 30-year old Kohler faucets that work perfectly. (I had the valves in all 16 faucets in the house reconditioned about 10 years ago at a local faucet repair shop.) I had a Kohler (model Rubicon) Bath/Shower Faucet installed last year during a bathroom remodel. After the install there was a constant drip from the tub spout after the faucet was shut off. I contacted Kohler and they sent me a replacement (one piece cartridge) (model GP 800881 - replacement cartridge for K-8304 valve).
Our Kohler faucet has been working fine for lontime, until recently it starting spinning counter clockwise. The hot/cold water mix is not jut a wild guess :) Kindly suggest the part needed. Hoping it's not a full cartridge replacement. Thanks in advance.

Apr 13, 2005. #2. stem. We do not know if you are unscrewing the bonnet at the proper place to remove it, or if you have just removed a packing nut. If you have unscrewed the correct thing and the stem is just stuck in the body, pulling it out will not damage the "in the wall" portion.
I am literally going crazy trying to find a Kohler 73923-aa cartridge for a Kohler shower faucet that appears to have been installed around ten years ago. Is anyone familiar with this cartridge and if so if they know if it has been replaced by another number or model that will still fit.
