From Wilkes Record Reports A drug round up resulted in felony charges being made against 20 suspects after a 10-week investigation. Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department Captain Craig Dancy, the head of the narcotics division, reported that most of the arrests involved methamphetamine (meth), but included other illegal drugs.
A total of 30 Wilkes residents were arrested on drug charges related to methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and pills after a three-and-a-half month investigation.
