The John Colet School is a co-educational secondary school in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, England. [1] In August 2011 the school became an Academy. [2] The school was founded in the 1950s, and is named after churchman and scholar John Colet. In September 2006 the school celebrated its 50th anniversary. [citation needed]
This reorganisation also saw the town's three secondary schools serving the 13-18 age range become 11-16 schools, with sixth form facilities concentrated at the expanded college in the town, while the town gained a fourth secondary school with the conversion of a former middle school into an 11-16 school.
The Chiltern Way Academy has four sites, one based in Prestwood, one based in Wendover, one based in Bierton and the other based in Wokingham. [1] The current head teacher for Bierton is Alex Power. Stoke Mandeville Combined School is a mixed community school which takes children from the age of four through to the age of eleven. (Year r – 6) The school has approximately 220 pupils. It also has a hearing impaired department, which currently helps up to 15 children through their school day.

This is a list of some of the endowed schools in England and Wales existing in the early part of the 19th century.It is based on the antiquarian Nicholas Carlisle's survey of "Endowed Grammar Schools" published in 1818 [1] with descriptions of 475 schools [2] but the comments are referenced also to the work of the Endowed Schools Commission half a century later.
