The Air Force Falcons baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the United States Air Force Academy in El Paso County, Colorado, United States, north of Colorado Springs. [2] The team is a member of the Mountain West Conference , which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association 's Division I .
The best coach in Air Force history is Bob Spear, who coached for 15 years (1956–1971), had a career record of 177–175, and led the Falcons to two NCAA Tournament Appearances. The Academy's most famous basketball alumnus, however, is Gregg Popovich , a Hall of Fame coach who has led the San Antonio Spurs to five NBA titles to date.
Skenes honored his commitment to play college baseball for the Air Force Falcons and accepted an appointment as part of the class of 2024.
