Waqar Ahmed Khan (Urdu: وقار احمد خان, born 20 March 1974), is a Pakistani jurist currently holding the position of Justice in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) since 19 August 2019. [ 1 ] Career
He obtained the license to practice law in lower courts in 1999 and for the high court and Supreme Court of Pakistan in 2001 and 2014, respectively. [2]Initially appointed as an additional judge in the PHC on 19 August 2019, Anwar was sworn in as a confirmed judge of the PHC on 5 August 2021.
He also served as President of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association from 2013 to 2014. [2] He was appointed as an additional Justice of the Peshawar High Court on 12 August 2016. [5] On 1 June 2018, he took oath as the permanent judge of the PHC. [3] On 13 April 2024, he was appointed as acting Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court. [6]
Ejaz Afzal Khan is a Pakistani retired jurist who served as a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan from 2011 to 2018.
