    I believe that if you don't use it for really hard mountain biking and you take care of it, a mongoose bike can last for a decent amount of time. Bikes: 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo; 1960 Capo Sieger (2); 1962 Carlton Franco Suisse; 1970 Peugeot UO-8; 1982 Bianchi Campione d'Italia; 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10;

    06-12-15 09:05 PM. Vintage Raleigh Treton Mountain Tour. 4 Attachment (s) Hi, I'm new to cycling and just got my first vintage bike (also my first bike not from Walmart). It's an 80's (I think) Raleigh Teton Mountain Tour and I was wondering if anyone had any info on it, specifically when it was made. I'd also like to know other people's ...

    Beach Cruisers - Unbound 200 on Walmart cruisers (video) - I liked this a lot. It was very well done. You Tube apology if it has already been posted, and feel free to delete post if it has.

  5. Bike Forums - Are Walmart bikes really dead end bikes?

    www.bikeforums.net/general-cycling-discussion/1088732-walmart-bikes-really...

    The bike store gentleman sounded quite convincing, and his claim above might be totally true. As a novice I have a difficult time telling. So it hit me, perhaps I should confirm on a forum of experienced cyclists, are Walmart mountain bikes (like the Genesis GS29) indeed as bad as stated above?

  6. What can you tell me about Schwinn Criss-Cross? - Bike Forums

    www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/379270-what-can-you-tell-me-about-schwinn...

    I have a friend looking for a bike to ride on the local MUP's. I found a Schwinn Criss-Cross (not sure of the exact year yet) on Craigslist for $50. From what little info I could gather about it, this bike is a middle-of-the-road hybrid/fitness bike. I did read rumors of some type of weird wheel sizing that would make tires harder to find for ...

    Next. 1. Hybrid Bicycles - Giant vs. Schwinn - I am planning on getting the wife a new hybrid today. The local shop has Giants for around $350-420. Another shop further away, but still reasonable has Schwinns on a huge sale $150-250 off, putting them $100 cheaper than the Giants. I am new to cycling as well (just picked up a.

    2. 3. Advocacy & Safety - Don't understand Walmart's policy - Ok, so I'm getting back into cycling commuting again after a break and gaining a few pounds (yikes). I go to my local Walmart to pick up some items and the door greeter stops me and says bikes aren't allowed inside.

  9. What size CO2 cartridges? - Bike Forums

    www.bikeforums.net/mountain-biking/26417-what-size-co2-cartridges.html

    The Innovations Big Air canister works well for mountain bikes, as it fills two 26" tires, so even if you have some problems, it ought to at least fill one completely. It is about the size of two 12 or 16 gram CO2 cartridges. It only works on threaded inflators though, so that might be an issue for some. Reply.

  10. Bikemanforu closes shop - Bike Forums

    www.bikeforums.net/general-cycling-discussion/1131196-bikemanforu-closes-shop.html

    He often ends up dealing with walmart quality bikes and bikes that are decades old. The Giant bikes he sells are fairly low end. I remember him promoting some mountain bikes he had in stock, not Giant possibly Diamondback a few years ago and god they looked awful with freewheels instead of cassettes and not really fit for purpose in my eyes.

  11. Bike Forums - Dynagrip Falcon shifters won't shift, cable/control...

    www.bikeforums.net/bicycle-mechanics/626677-dynagrip-falcon-shifters-wont...

    I have two inexpensive ("cheap") Walmart mountain bikes. On both bikes the Dynagrip Falcon shifters won't shift or shift with extreme difficulty. The derailleurs seem to be fine because I can pull the metal cable at the destination and the mechanics move pretty easily. So, I think the problem is either in the controllers or cabling.
