Ivan Zachary Corwin (born May 24, 1984) is an American mathematician who is a professor of mathematics at Columbia University. [1] His research concerns probability, mathematical physics, quantum integrable systems, stochastic PDEs, and random matrix theory. He is particularly known for work related to the Kardar–Parisi–Zhang equation. [2] [3]
As of the 2023 awards, 103 Nobel laureates have been affiliated with Columbia University as alumni or faculty. John Michael Steele is C.F. Koo Professor of Statistics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and he was previously affiliated with Stanford University, Columbia University and Princeton University. Steele was elected the 2009 president of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics.
