Southwick Beach State Park is a New York State park that lies along an unusual stretch of sandy beach on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario. The park is 464 acres (188 ha) in size with a 3,500 foot (1,100 m) length of beach, and is visited annually by about 100,000 people. [ 1 ]
The park installed the 18-hole "Shore Winds Disc Golf Course" in 2009, [1] which starts near the back of the park and includes several holes playing along the Lake Ontario shoreline. The park may be accessed from Route 18. The park is also the western terminus of the Lake Ontario State Parkway.
Parking is $2 per hour or $10 per day at Surfside Beach access parking lots and on Surfside Drive. The Surfside Beach Pier parking lot is $3 per hour. Paid parking lasts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The beach is open to town residents and the general public during the summer season. During this time, lifeguards are on duty on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. There are also limited preseason hours beginning Memorial Day weekend. [1] Access to the beach is via Ocean Parkway. Free parking is available for town residents with recreation permits.
