Thomas Bryant Cotton (born May 13, 1977) is an American politician and Army veteran serving since 2015 as the junior United States senator from Arkansas.A member of the Republican Party, he is the chairman of the Senate Republican Conference and third-ranking Senate Republican.
Arkansas's Senate seats were declared vacant in July 1861, due to its secession from the Union. They were again filled from June 1868. Its current senators are Republicans John Boozman and Tom Cotton. John L. McClellan was Arkansas's longest-serving senator (1943–1977).
