Blackberry Farm is a luxury resort in Walland, Tennessee, bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It was rated the best small hotel in America by Zagat Survey in 2004. [1] Blackberry Farm is part of the Relais & Châteaux association.

Development of the site included a hotel and outdoor waterpark. The second area opened in December 2008 and offers a condominium resort and indoor waterpark (titled the 'Wild WaterDome', which is one of the largest indoor waterparks in Tennessee [1]). The third area added was the 'Lake Wilderness' outdoor waterpark and became available in May 2009.
Many mountain residents built additional rooms onto their houses to accommodate lodgers, and several hotels sprang up. The Cataloochee Ranch was established in 1933 by Tom and Judy Alexander. The ranch was open April 15 through October 15, with 10 rooms at rates ranging from $2.75 to $5.00 per day.
The Smoky Mountain Hiking Club Cabin. The Smoky Mountains Hiking Club Cabin, located next to the Messer Barn on the Porters Creek Trail, is a dog-trot cabin constructed by members of the SMHC between 1934 and 1936, one of the few non-NPS structures built within the park's boundaries during the 1930s.
