Ng Ching-fai, GBS (simplified Chinese: 吴清辉; traditional Chinese: 吳清輝; pinyin: Wú Qīnghuī; Jyutping: Ng4 Ching1 Fai1; born 20 November 1939 in Shanghai, China) is a Professor of Chemistry and the former President and Vice-Chancellor of Hong Kong Baptist University and the President of United International College.
Prior to Hong Kong's handover, the colony's governor was the de jure chancellor of the university. That role has been assumed by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong following the handover. The chief executive's role as the university's Chancellor is enshrined in the Hong Kong Baptist University Ordinance. [7]

He served as Chairman of Hong Kong Baptist College, trustee of the Chancellor's Circle at the University of British Columbia, which later awarded him an honorary degree, and was a benefactor to the David C. Lam Institute for East-West Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University. In 1986, he helped found the Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival.
