John Brunning is an English radio presenter, musician and composer. [1]Brunning was born in Essex and from 1970 broadcast pirate radio from his home in Colchester. [citation needed] He learned guitar and played for a time with the successful band Mungo Jerry.

[7] The church closed for services in December 2022. [8] Castlemilk is a 19th-century country house in the parish, also designed by David Bryce, in 1863. [9]

His shrine was a great centre of Christian pilgrimage until the Scottish Reformation. His remains are said to still rest in the crypt. A spring called "St. Mungo's Well" fell eastwards from the apse.
