Monkey D. Luffy is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, and dreamt of being a pirate since childhood from the influence of his idol and mentor Red-Haired Shanks. Despite his father's objections, Sabo left for the Gray Terminal. Sabo explains that his dream is to live freely on the sea and vows that they will become pirates.
