The Thai Red Cross Society (Thai: สภากาชาดไทย; RTGS: Sapha Ka Chat Thai) is a major humanitarian organisation in Thailand, providing services as part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. [citation needed] The society was founded in 1893 and is headquartered in Bangkok.
It was jointly financed by the state and the Thai Red Cross Society. The new addition opened on a partial basis in 2016 and is due to be fully inaugurated by the end of 2017. It has over 1,250 beds.
