The Score is an American alternative rock duo formed in New York City in 2011, now based in Los Angeles. [1] The group consists of Eddie Anthony Ramirez (lead vocals, guitar) and Edan Chai Dover (backing vocals, keys, producer). Chris Coombs and Logan Baldwin are touring members for the band.
Score was born in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England on 5 November 1957. [2] Score was a hairdresser in Liverpool until 1978 when he formed the post-punk band Tontrix, in which he played bass, along with Hambi Haralambous (vocals), Steve Lovell (guitar), Bobby Carr (keyboards) and Chris Hughes (drums).
The Score is the second [4] studio album by the hip hop trio Fugees, released worldwide on February 13, 1996, on Columbia Records. The album features a wide range of samples and instrumentation, with many aspects of alternative hip hop that would come to dominate the hip-hop music scene in the mid- to late-1990s.
The group members have continuously thanked and praised Enya for her deep understanding of the situation, for example in the liner notes of The Score. The Fugees won two 1997 Grammy Awards with The Score (Best Rap Album) and "Killing Me Softly" (Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group).
