The General State Archives (Greek: Γενικά Αρχεία του Κράτους, romanized: Geniká Archeía tou Krátous) are the national archives of Greece. They were created in 1914 by Eleftherios Venizelos' government.

For ancient Greek names, the latinized forms, e.g. Themistocles, are the norm, except when the name has been further anglicized, e.g. Aristotle. For Byzantine-era names , either the traditional latinized forms or, preferably, the Oxford Dictionary of Byzantium forms can be used, e.g. Cantacuzenus (latinized) vs Kantakouzenos (ODB).
