EuroNight, abbreviated EN, is a European train category that denotes many mainline national and international night train services within the Western and Central European inter-city rail network. Overview
This article contains lists of named passenger trains in Europe, listed by country. Listing by country does eliminate some EuroCity services from the list, but they are listed on the relevant EuroCity page for daytime trains and the EuroNight page for nighttime trains.
In Europe, trains are assigned to different categories or train types by railway companies depending on their role. Passenger trains may be broadly split into long-distance and local trains; the latter having average journey times of under an hour and a range of less than 50 kilometres (31 mi).
The EN 234/235, until 2013 named Allegro Tosca, is an overnight train jointly operated by the Austrian Federal Railways and Trenitalia under the EuroNight brand. It runs 1,203 km (748 mi) from Wien Hbf in Vienna to Roma Termini in Rome, with thru-cars to Milano Centrale in Milan.
