The Buckeye Union High School District #201 (BUHSD) is a school district serving the town of Buckeye, Arizona and the far southern section of the city of Goodyear, Arizona. Situated approximately 30 miles west of Phoenix, Arizona the district serves approximately 3710 students in three comprehensive high schools and one alternative school .
Buckeye is located approximately 30 miles (48 km) west of downtown Phoenix in the Buckeye Valley. Interstate 10 passes through the central part of the city, north of the original town center. U.S. Route 80 once passed through the city, while Arizona State Route 85 skirts what was the city's west edge.
It is a very spread out neighborhood with approximately 34 people per square mile. To the east of Rainbow Valley is a community called Estrella Mountain Ranch. The neighborhood has one store, a Dollar General, but any other stores in the area are located in the Estrella Mountain or Buckeye area. Rainbow Valley has many mountains and hills.

In 1903, Buckeye built a four-room, two-story, red brick building with an outdoor stairway with a woodshed under the stairway. It was situated just east of the original school and across from the present elementary school (211. S. Seventh Street, Buckeye, AZ 85326.) OIAIS is part of a wider family of schools known as The Odyssey Preparatory Academy, which includes three K-5 schools in Buckeye and Goodyear. The High-school and Junior-high's mascot is Marty the Minotaur. The school colors are maroon, black, white, and silver.
