June is the driest month with 1 mm (0.039 in) of rainfall, while January, the wettest month, has an average precipitation of 36 mm (1.4 in).
Kalat finally acceded to Pakistan on 27 March 1948 after the 'strange help' of All India Radio and a period of negotiations and bureaucratic tactics used by Pakistan. [3] The signing of the Instrument of Accession by Ahmad Yar Khan , led his brother, Prince Abdul Karim , to revolt against his brother's decision [ 5 ] in July 1948. [ 6 ]
Agha Mir Suleman Dawood Jan Ahmedzai (Balochi: آغا میر سلیمان داوود خان احمدزی) is the 35th Khan of Kalat, a position he has held since the death of his father, Mir Dawood Jan, in 1998. [1] Currently, he lives in self-imposed exile in Wales. His only son, Prince Mir Mohammad Khan Ahmadzai, is estranged from him. [2]
In 1698, Mughals under Samandar Khan of Kalat State captured Kandahar again. Kandahar was regarded as important to the Mughal Empire because it was one of the gateways to India, and Mughal control over Kandahar helped to prevent foreign intrusions. [28]
