Pink Panther, who was in the mound, is the only one who is normal-sized enough to save Earth and the other planets against the evil space villain. Pink Panther is accidentally sucked into space and dons a space suit, which he is able to use it to escape Big Nose. This restores the planets to their normal sizes.
