William B. Ide Adobe State Historic Park is a California State Historic Park located on the west bank of the Sacramento River, a mile north of Red Bluff in Tehama County, California. Although it was initially believed that Ide built the adobe, research has shown that he never lived in the place that bears his name today.

Until 1875, Red Bluff was the last steamboat stop on the Sacramento River. [1] While Chinatown was a segregated neighborhood, it was not hindered from thriving because of its access to many modes of transportation first being adjacent to the Sacramento River and later the railroad, followed by Route 99 making access to ship and receive goods fairly easily. The first purpose-built county courthouse was completed in Red Bluff in 1860 and remodeled in 1880 with a bell tower above the entrance. [4] The design was credited to architect B.C. Nusbaum. [5] A Hall of Records was added to the north of the original courthouse building in 1882–83. [6]
