Bob's Discount Furniture is an American furniture store chain headquartered in Manchester, Connecticut. The company opened its first store in 1991 in Newington, Connecticut and is ranked 12th in sales among United States furniture stores according to Furniture Today 's list of Top 100 Furniture Stores.
When construction was completed in 1985, Phoenix Civic Plaza had more than doubled its available space to over 300,000 square feet (28,000 m 2). In the mid-1990s, Phoenix Convention Center embarked on a $32 million renovation project to update and enhance its image and keep the facility competitive for convention and trade show business.
The Room Store (commonly stylized as RoomStore) was a chain of furniture retail stores in the eastern and southern United States, which operated from 1992 to 2012. The company, which was owned by RoomStore, Inc., specialized in retailing all the pieces of furniture for an entire room rather than individual pieces of furniture.
In November 2001, the mall was renamed Phoenix Spectrum Mall, [4] and Grossman Company Properties began a $10 million renovation project. The mall changed its focus to discount stores, starting with the demolition of The Broadway and replacement by Walmart (originally built as a discount store, later expanded into a Supercenter) in 1994.
