Waterloo Community School District (WCSD) is a public school district headquartered in Waterloo, Iowa.. It is entirely in Black Hawk County.In addition to almost all of Waterloo the municipalities of Elk Run Heights, Evansdale, Gilbertville, and Raymond are in the district limits, as well as the census-designated place of Washburn.
The school is divided into four houses named after historical Canadian figures: Brock, Brant, Simcoe, and Tecumseh. [2] Aside from its main structure, the Breslau campus has a number of sports facilities and playing fields, a chapel, a dining hall, a library, a pond and corresponding boathouse, and an extensive network of forested trails.
United College is a university college affiliated with the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The college, previously known as St. Paul's United College and St. Paul's University College, contributes to the University of Waterloo by offering academic programming as well as accommodation for both graduate and undergraduate students.
It was annexed by the Waterloo School District in 1994. Before being integrated into Waterloo, the school was known as the Border City Union Free School and served nearby students living in the Border City region. It moved to the current Main Street location, previously the Waterloo Middle School campus, in 2006.
Waterloo Christian School, formerly Walnut Ridge Baptist Academy, was founded in 1973 as a ministry of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. Church members wanted a place for their children to be educated from a Biblical perspective. The graduating class of 1988 were the first students to complete all grades from kindergarten through 12th grade.
From a completely online curriculum, students learn how to create networks, and repair, build & format computers. This course was unique to Waterloo Collegiate Institute as it was the only location in southern Ontario to offer Cisco Certified courses, but the program was suddenly discontinued in the 2010-2011 year.
Waterloo High School has an auditorium that can hold 462 people. The school also has a fitness center and weight room used for PE students and athletes, four computer labs, a library, a cafeteria, band room, chorus room, and an engineering lab. The school has an interior courtyard area for agricultural classes. [3]
