Rujm el-Hiri is an ancient megalithic monument consisting of concentric circles of stone with a tumulus at center, in the Golan Heights, territory occupied by Israel. When a topographical map of the site was created in 2016 by the use of a drone, a "set of hitherto unknown structures" was revealed. In the Netherlands megaliths were created with erratics from glaciers in the northeastern part of the country. [10] These megaliths are locally known as hunebedden (hunebeds) and are usually dolmens. Parts of 53 of these hunebeds are known to exist on their original locations. [11] The different hunebeds are differentiated by province and number.
