Two guys walked into the store. They are both frequent flyers. Overheard the conversation where one tells the other, dude seriously you can make up to $150 a day. They only have 1 or 2 per shift and they are to busy to watch you. Take whatever that you can sell....

SOP PDF. I made a copy of the SOP as a PDF and uploaded it to my Google drive for anyone interested. It's not reasonable to expect anyone to know a 500+ page document if they can only read it while at a job that didn't have downtime for something like that. Yes, I know it's not supposed to be duplicated but guess what?

This is honestly a really easy job to me. I’ve worked a lot of warehouse jobs, commercial fishing, and farm work before, I feel like most dollar general employees have never actually had a hard job before and assume this is a bad job. I’ve also seen a lot that the starting pay is $7-8 hourly but I’m starting at 11 in a small town in Oklahoma.

  9. DG drug test : r/DollarGeneral - Reddit

Dg doesn’t drug test outside of raises or suspicious behavior, even then it’s rare. The fact of the matter is their turnover rate is too high to spend the money drug testing every new employee and scare off the people who do want to work there (I actually like my job lol) if they’re talking about testing you as a cashier that’s probably due to the SM or DM being specifically anti-drug ...

  10. Why do most DGs seem understaffed? : r/DollarGeneral - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/DollarGeneral/comments/rxqr68/why_do_most_dgs_seem_understaffed

For years (even pre-pandemic) I've noticed a pattern that Dollar General stores seem understaffed. Frequently there are boxes of stock blocking aisles, and generally one cashier at the front helping the long slow line of customers. If you ever go to a DG and they're aren't any rolltainers on the floor then it must be a recently opened store ...
