Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, was born in Patna, Mughal Empire on 22 December 1666. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] He also spent his early years here before moving to Anandpur Sahib . Besides being the birthplace of Gobind Singh, Patna was also honored by the visits of Guru Nanak and Guru Tegh Bahadur .

Gurdwara Bangla Sahib was originally a bungalow belonging to Raja Jai Singh, an Hindu Rajput ruler in the seventeenth century, and was known as Jaisinghpura Palace, in Jaisingh Pura, an historic neighbourhood demolished to make way for the Connaught Place, shopping district. [4]
The main dharamsals located at localities founded by a Sikh guru or connected to their life were managed directly by a Sikh guru whilst the centres in more minor, obscure, or distant localities and areas were headed by an appointed Manjidar, Sangatia, Masand, or communally by the local Sikh congregation without a single discernible leader. [2]
The first work was in 1970, when the Old Bungas Towers of Sikh chieftains were demolished to construct a big complex. In all four corners of Darbar Sahib, the Holy Tank (Sarovar) was cleaned by Sikhs. In the early 1980s, a big hall was built to replace many Old Sikh period buildings. In 2005 the whole of Darbar Sahib was renovated.

Ramgarhia Bunga or Burj is the three-storeyed red stone watchtowers complex located near southeastern edge of the Golden Temple, Amritsar. [1] The two minaret-style Ramgarhia Bunga high towers are visible from the parikrama (circumambulation) walkway around the Harmandir Sahib Sarovar (water tank). [2]
