The Galvatrons are a four-piece rock band who formed on 28 August 2007, in Geelong, Australia. [1] Lead singer Johnny Galvatron stated on radio station 101.3 Sea FM on the Central Coast that the band got their name from the 1986 animated film Transformers.
Megatron also featured prominently in Alignment, Simon Furman's take on what happened after the Generation 2 comic. In this story, Megatron was defeated for command of the Decepticons by Galvatron II (the U.S. comics version) and left for dead.
Starscream possesses Cyclonus's body and tricks Galvatron into being captured by the Autobots. Galvatron escapes and later shoots Cyclonus when he realizes that Starscream's ghost is possessing his second-in-command. The vengeful ghost easily escapes and re-appears in an additional episode, "Ghost in the Machine".
Galvatron reactivates himself and takes control of the drones. A battle follows in Hong Kong between the Autobots, Cemetery Wind, and the drones. During the fight, Cade sends Savoy plummeting to his death while Optimus frees the Dinobots and wins their allegiance through trial by combat , becoming essential to the Autobots' victory.
He is known as "Galvatron" after being injured in his fight with Optimus Prime after being re-created by Unicron. In later versions, Megatron and Galvatron appear as separate entities. The Autobots attempted to salvage the situation, along with the remaining Decepticons (after they were free from Galvatron) who arrived to lend them a hand. Meanwhile, both Optimus Prime and Galvatron were ravaged from each other's attacks. Galvatron uses an energy scimitar to cut down one of Optimus Prime's wings, causing serious damage.
Realizing Galvatron now has the Matrix, the Autobots and the Junkions fly to Cybertron. Galvatron attempts to threaten Unicron, but like Ultra Magnus, cannot activate the Matrix. In response, Unicron transforms into a colossal robot and begins to dismember Cybertron. When Galvatron attacks him, Unicron swallows him and the Matrix whole.
Not long after Megatron's demise and the restoration of Cybertron, the Autobots celebrate as Optimus Prime knights Bumblebee a warrior. Optimus and Wheeljack embark on a journey to find the AllSpark, the source of Cybertronian life, leaving the other Autobots to hunt down the missing Decepticons Shockwave and Starscream.
