Richardson Independent School District (RISD or Richardson ISD) is an independent school district in northern Dallas County, Texas, based in Richardson.The 46-square-mile (120 km 2) district serves the Dallas County portions of Richardson; [a] the Lake Highlands, Northwood Hills, and Prestonwood neighborhoods of Dallas; and small portions of Garland.
J. J. Pearce High School is a high school located in Richardson, Texas, United States. It is named after Joseph Jones “J.J.” Pearce, [2] the superintendent for the Richardson Independent School District (RISD) from 1946 to 1977. [3] In 2018, it had an enrollment of 2,323 and a student-teacher ratio of 14.5:1.
The school is part of the Richardson Independent School District and is in central Lake Highlands near the DART Blue Line. The Lake Highlands Freshman Center (which sits on the same property as LHHS) formerly housed the 9th-grade students, but has recently been integrated into the rest of the school, housing classes for all 9–12 students.

Salam Academy is an Islamic PreK–high school in Richardson, Texas.It was established as a part-time school in 2003 and added a full-time school in fall 2008. As of 2014 it had 315 students, 90% being South Asian, 5% being Arab, and 5% being non-Hispanic white, Hispanic, and Black.
