Molly Knox Ostertag (born October 28, 1991) is an American cartoonist and writer. Her work includes the animated series The Owl House, webcomic Strong Female Protagonist, the middle grade [3] graphic novel series (The Witch Boy, The Hidden Witch, and The Midwinter Witch), and on the series Tales of the Night Watchman.
The book was borrowed by Colonel Robert Walpole, the father of the first British prime minister. It was found by Professor John H. Plumb in the library of the then Marquess of Cholmondeley at Houghton Hall, Norfolk when he was working on a biography of Walpole. It holds the Guinness World Record for "most overdue library book."
