When trying to create a system repair disk on my cd/dvd drive, I receive the following message: System repair disc could not be created The drive reported that it is in the process of becoming ready. Please try the request again later. (0xC0AA0205). I get this on two computers. One is a 2 year old HP Pavilion, the other is a 1 year Sony Vaio.
I am unable to create a system repair / recovery disc by either running recDisc.exe or using the option to create a recovery disk in Backup and Retore. It says System Repair Disc could not be created. "The parameter is incorrect (0x80070057)" I have tried using both a blank CDr and a DVDr. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
I created the system image from the option to create a system image in Backup and Restore. At the conclusion of creating the system image, the system asked me if I wanted to create a system repair disc, either CD or DVD. The system image is on an external hard drive, but that is not an option for the system repair disc.
Hello, When I try to Restore System image from backup I've got this error: "The selected system image cannot be restored in this recovery environment" Browsing this Forum I noticed that folks found that this message could be when one created 32 bit Repair disc and tries to Restore 64 bit OS.
Hi, 1) Do I have to create a new system repair disc EVERY time I create a new system image? 2). Why is a system repair disc needed? 3). Do I need a system repair disc if I have the original Windows 7 CD? The reson I ask is I frequently back-up with this utility.

It seems Windows sets somewhere a flag for an unsuccessful and unfinished system file check and repair so the next time the computer reboots it falls again in the circle of "sfc" and "reboot to complete".

Using Windows 7 Backup and Restore, I am attempting to create a disc to save: "Create a System Repair Disc" However, when I put in a blank DVD-R disc, that's not been used, the message comes up: "The disc in the selected drive is not blank" I've tested the DVD disc and it comes out fine.
